  • Generate the required MCC withdrawal slip 2026 after completing the process.
  • Keep the withdrawal slip safely for future reference.
  • Complete all the required steps within the prescribed deadline.

For candidates who selected Freeze

Candidates who selected the Freeze option have to follow a different resignation process. As they have already joined their allotted seat, they must visit the institute in person to complete the resignation formalities. Candidates need to:

  • Physically report to the allotted and admitted institute.
  • Inform the institute about their decision to resign from the seat.
  • Complete all the required resignation formalities at the institute.
  • Request the authorised nodal officer of the institute to process the resignation.
  • Ensure that the nodal officer generates the required MCC resignation letter 2026 or seat withdrawal slip online through the MCC portal.
  • Keep a copy of the resignation document for future reference.

MCC has clarified that completing formalities at the college alone is not sufficient.

The resignation will be valid only when the authorised nodal officer generates the required document through the MCC portal. If the online resignation letter or withdrawal slip is not generated, the resignation will be treated as null and void. Candidates looking for the MCC NEET UG Round 1 resignation process for Freeze candidates should therefore ensure that the institute completes the online resignation procedure.

Candidates should also complete the process within the MCC Round 1 resignation last date, which is 1 PM on September 2, 2026. Following the prescribed NEET UG seat resignation rules and completing the required online documentation is important to avoid the resignation being treated as invalid.
