West Bengal NEET UG stray vacancy round counselling has started today, October 16, 2026. The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) is organising the online counselling procedure through its official website. Candidates eligible for this round have to register themselves as per the prescribed schedule. Who Can Apply for WB NEET UG Stray Vacancy Round 2026?

Those candidates who have qualified the NEET UG 2026 exam are eligible to apply for the WB NEET UG counselling. Also, there are certain more eligibility criteria which are set by WBMCC to apply for the counselling process. The counselling procedure is meant for admissions in MBBS/BDS under the respective quota of the state quota, private management quota, and NRI quota. But the eligibility norms and participation criteria may differ from one candidate to another depending on the candidate’s category and counselling stages earlier. How to Register for West Bengal NEET UG Counselling 2026 Stray Round?

Step 1: Visit the official website of West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC), i.e. wbmcc.nic.in. Select the “UG Medical & Dental Counselling” tab from the homepage.

Step 2: Find the link named “Online Registration for Online Stray Vacancy Round”. Click on the link to get redirected to the registration page.

Step 3: Fill in your details properly:

• NEET UG Roll Number
• NEET UG Application Number
• Date of Birth
• Security PIN (Displayed as a captcha on the computer screen)

Step 4: Log in to your account to confirm the accuracy of your personal details, academic scores, and domicile category (A1, A2 or B). Take care that you do not make any typing errors.

Step 5: Also, candidates will be required to upload copies of documents like NEET UG scorecard, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, domicile certificate, and category certificate,te if any.

Step 6: Move ahead to the payment step and pay the counselling fees via Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or through UPI.

Step 7: Go through your entered details once again and submit them. Take a printout of your Registration Acknowledgement Slip.

What Happens After West Bengal NEET UG Counselling Registration?

After the registration and fee payment process, candidates need to go for the document verification process as per the WBMCC timetable. The committee is expected to release the list of the verified candidates along with the seat matrix on October 17, 2026, after 5 PM. Eligible candidates will be able to fill in and lock the desired colleges from October 17 to October 18.

The result of the WB NEET UG stray vacancy round seat allotment will be out by 12 PM on October 23, 2026. Candidates have to ensure they check the result and act accordingly. If any candidate gets the seat allotment, they need to report to the respective college as per the designated dates for completing the admission process. Necessary original documents along with the admission fees need to be submitted at the allotted college.
