As Hyderabad prepares for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) scheduled for May 4, the district administration has taken several measures to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the exam. A total of 26,609 candidates are set to appear across 62 designated NEET exam centres in the district, with strict protocols and arrangements in place.

District Collector Anudeep Durishetty, has emphasized the importance of maintaining a seamless examination experience for all candidates. In a high-level meeting with center superintendents, bank officials, and city police, he outlined the need for proper coordination, infrastructure readiness, and stick to exam protocols. He instructed all examination centers to conduct prior inspections to address any gaps and ensure compliance with the established guidelines.

NEET Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates need to keep in mind these guidelines and follow them:

  • Timing: The exam will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and students must enter before 1:30 p.m.
  • Transport: Special RTC buses will run on exam routes to help students reach on time.
  • Facilities: Centers will have water, electricity, and clean washrooms for student comfort.
  • Medical Help: Doctors and first-aid will be available, with ORS packets ready for any heat-related issues.
  • Security: No electronic devices like smartwatches or mobile phones are allowed.
  • Police Support: Security staff will manage crowds and question paper safety.

Ensuring a Transparent Examination Process

Hyderabad has consistently maintained high standards in conducting national-level entrance examinations, and the district administration aims to uphold its reputation by implementing rigorous oversight and transparent procedures. The district collector has urged officials to ensure smooth execution while prioritizing the welfare and comfort of all students.

This year, security measures have been tightened due to concerns raised in previous years, particularly following incidents of paper leaks in some national-level exams. Authorities are implementing stricter monitoring, enhanced security protocols for transporting question papers, and increased surveillance at exam centers to prevent malpractice.
