The West Bengal Medical Council Committee has declared the provisional merit list for NEET UG Counselling 2025. According to the official sources, around 11178 students are shortlisted for MBBS and BDS admissions counselling. 

Candidates were able to lock their choices till 17 August 2025. The seat allotment results for it are scheduled to be released on 20 August 2025. This list is related to the 85 per cent of the status quota allotted to the respective states. According to the official notification released by the WBMSS, there are a total of 5589 seats on offer in programmes like MBBS and BDS in different colleges

How to Download WB NEET UG Provisional Merit List

The eligible candidates can download and check their merit list by following the steps given below:
Step 1: Candidates looking to download the merit list can visit the official website: https://wbmcc.nic.in/ 

Step 2: After visiting the official site go to the Notice and Events section and access the provisional merit list link.  

Step 3:  View the PDF using Ctrl+F and search for your roll number in this.

The WB NEET counselling seat matrix represents the number of MBBS and BDS seats available in the state of West Bengal. It includes seats in different government and private colleges. Why Was the Merit List Revised?

The merit list was revised after cross-checking candidate details, resolving any errors, and addressing any correction requests. This was done to ensure fairness and transparency in the counselling process. 

Documents Required at the Time of College Reporting

Once a seat is allotted to the candidates, they should report to their respective allotted colleges from 21st to 23rd August. They must also carry all necessary documents, including

  • Admit card and scorecard of NEET
  • Provisional allotment letter of NEET
  • Original and photocopies of ID proof
  • Category certificates
  • Educational qualification certificates

What to Expect in Round 2 Counselling

Candidates who were not allotted a seat in the first round or want to upgrade to a better option can register for Round 2 counselling, which is scheduled to start from 27 August. Applicants should visit the official website regularly to get the latest updates about the counselling process.
