NEET Exam 2025: National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is an exam conducted for admission to UG courses like MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, BUMS, etc. The entrance exam is held by the National Testing Agency (NTA) every year to complete the admission process in top medical colleges in India. NEET entrance exam registration process for the 2025-26 academic session was started on 07 February 2025 with the deadline to submit the application form of 07 March 2025. A total of 26 Lakh aspirants have been registered for the entrance exam. For any corrections to be made on the application form, the correction window was opened from 9 to 11 March 2025. NEET Exam 2025
NEET 2025 Exam Date has been scheduled to be held on 04 May 2025, and the registered aspirants must appear in the entrance exam to get admission into top medical courses like MBBS, BDS, BUMS, BHMS, etc in top colleges. The application process for the NEET 2025 entrance exam was completed on 07 March 2025, which started on 07 February 2025 through the official website @neet.nta.nic.in. The aspirants who have completed their 10+2 from any recognized board with at least 40% to 50% marks in core subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English are eligible to apply for the NEET 2025 exam.
For the 2025 year, NTA announced that the exam pattern has shifted and changed. The 20 optional questions have been removed, making it 180 questions out of 200. All the questions will be mandatory to attempt now, with no optional choices. Not only this, even the total duration of NEET has been reduced from 200 minutes to 180 minutes respectively. This year the mode of exam is Offline or Paper Pencil Based Test (PBT).

NEET 2025 Exam Eligibility Criteria
There are certain eligibility criteria that need to be fulfilled for an individual to be eligible to appear for NEET. These criteria can change yearly depending on the needs of the conducting body. Have a look on the eligibility criteria of 2025:-
- Aspirants appearing for NEET must have attained a minimum of 17 years of age.
- Though there is no upper age limit for NEET. That is, one can apply for NEET at any age.
- Students appearing for NEET must have completed their minimum of 12th boards with an aggregate mark of 50 % for General, 45% for General-PWD, and 40 % for OBC/ST/SC.
- Candidates should have passed 12th Board exam or equivalent with Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and English subjects
- Candidates who have completed their schooling from Open Schools will also be eligible.
- One who wants to pursue MBBS from a foreign university also has to qualify for NEET 2025.

Step 3 – Enter the details asked such as personal and contact details.
Step 4 – Verify the details by entering OTP or Email.
Step 5 – The registration credentials such as application number and password, will be sent to candidates through email
Step 6 – Login with the NEET 2025 registration credentials and complete the application form.

The Admit card will be available for aspirants days prior to the exam date. The National Test Agency (NTA) will release the NEET Admit card on 01 May 2025 at their official web portal. An admit card is a necessary document that needs to be carried into the exam hall. Failing to do so will result in not being able to appear for the exam.
