NEET UG 2026 Fee Refund Window Open: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline for submitting and updating bank details to for registration fee refund for candidates who appeared for the NEET UG examination on 3 May 2026, which was later cancelled following paper leak allegations. NTA conducted the NEET UG Re-Exam on 21 June 2026, with approximately 20 lakh candidates appearing for the test. Candidates who appeared for re-exam and are eligible can submit or update their bank details on the official NTA portal until the last date, 30 June 2026.

Candidates who have not submitted their bank details for the refund of registration or want to update any detail can login in the official portal using their application number and password, verify their details through OTP authentication, and confirm their bank account information. Further NTA has advised the applicants to submit their bank details before the deadline for smooth transaction registration fee refund. 

As per the official notification, approximately 19 lakh candidates have already updated and confirmed their bank account details; whereas some students could not complete the updation of their bank details. Apart from this, some students have also opted for “No Refund” and now want to revise their options. So providing the transparency to such applicants NTA has has reopened the refund window to enter the bank information. 

Steps to Submit Bank Details for Registration Fee Refund

Applicants who have missed the deadline for the submitting the bank details or want to update their details for the refund of registration fee can submit again till 30th June 2026. Students can submit their bank details from the official website of NTA and to avoid any kind of last-minute mistake they can follow the steps given below. 

Step 1: Go to the official portal of NTA, which is @neet.nta.nic.in.
Step 2: Now, in the “Candidate Activity” section, click on the link “Confirm/Update Bank Account Details”.
Step 3: Log in using the Application Number and Password.
Step 4: Enter the OTP for authentication.
Step 5: Confirm and update the bank details by clicking on the Confirm bank details Button.
Step 6: Candidates need to upload a scanned copy of the cancelled cheque or the first page of the bank passbook, which should contain the account number and IFSC code.
Step 7: Click on submit. 

What Candidates will See on the Portal After Login? 

After logging in to the portal, candidates will see the bank account details they have already submitted. Applicants can choose one of the following options:

  • If the displayed bank details are correct: Candidates are required to simply tick the checkbox to confirm that the bank account number and IFSC code are correct. The refund will be processed to the same bank account.
  • If the bank details are incorrect or have not been submitted before: Candidates who want to update their bank details can enter new bank account details or update the existing ones directly on the portal.
  • If the candidate does not want to claim the refund: Candidates who do not want to claim the refund can select the “No Refund” option. In this case, NTA will not process any refund.

Candidates who had previously selected the “No Refund” option but now wish to receive the refund can also change their choice during the available submission window. Apart from this, NTA has also released the provisional answer key for NEET Re-Exam 2026 on 25th June 2026, so that candidates can calculate their scores and applicants who find any discrepancy in the provisional answer key can raise an objection by 28th June 2026
